Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create my first short link?
Sign up at brevr.co/register — no credit card required on the Free plan. Once inside, click Create Link in your dashboard, paste your destination URL, and optionally enter a custom alias like brevr.co/my-brand. Click Create and your link is live instantly.
How do I add a custom domain?
Go to Domains in your dashboard and click Add Domain. Enter your domain name and Brevr will generate a CNAME record for you. Add that record in your DNS provider (Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.), then return to Brevr and click Verify. DNS changes typically propagate within a few minutes to a few hours depending on your provider.
What counts as an event?
An event is any tracked interaction with your link — most commonly a click. Brevr also records events for QR code scans. Each unique request to your short link URL counts as one event, regardless of whether the visitor has clicked before. Bot filtering is applied automatically on paid plans to keep your data clean.
How do I share analytics with a client?
Open the analytics view for the link or workspace you want to share. Click Share Report and toggle on public access. Brevr generates a read-only URL you can send to anyone — no Brevr account required to view it. You can disable the shared link at any time from the same panel.
