Invite and Manage Team Members

You can invite team members to your Brevr workspace and control exactly what they can access. Each member gets a role that defines their permissions — so your links, analytics, and billing stay in the right hands.

What You’ll Learn

  • The three workspace roles and what each one can do
  • How to invite a new team member
  • How to remove a member
  • Which plans include team access
  • What happens to links when a member leaves

How Roles Work

Every workspace role gives a defined level of access. Assign the role that fits what each person needs — nothing more.

ViewerView onlyViewNo accessNo access

Admin — Full workspace access, including billing and team management. Give this role only to people who need to manage the account.

Editor — Can create, edit, and delete links and QR codes. Cannot access billing or team settings. Ideal for marketers and campaign managers.

Viewer — Read-only access to links and analytics. Cannot create or edit anything. Use this for stakeholders who need to check performance.

How to Invite a Member

You can invite anyone to your workspace using their email address. They’ll receive an invitation link by email.

📸 Screenshot: The Invite Member dialog with email input and role selector

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Click Invite Member
  3. Enter the person’s email address
  4. Choose a role: Admin, Editor, or Viewer
  5. Click Send Invitation

The invitee receives an email with a link to join your workspace. If they don’t have a Brevr account yet, they’ll be prompted to create one first.

Note: Invitation links expire after 7 days. If the invite expires, send a new one from the same Team settings page.

How to Remove a Member

Removing a member revokes their access immediately. They cannot see or edit anything in your workspace after removal.

  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Click the member’s name or email to open their profile
  3. Click Remove
  4. Confirm the removal in the dialog

The member loses access right away. They are not notified automatically — let them know separately if needed.

Plan Limits

Team size depends on your plan. Upgrading unlocks more seats.

Pro1 (owner only — solo plan)

To add team members, you need a Business or Enterprise plan. Go to Settings → Billing and click Upgrade to change your plan.

What Happens to Content When a Member Leaves

When you remove a team member, their work stays in your workspace. No links, QR codes, or analytics are deleted.

  • Links they created remain active in the workspace
  • QR codes they created continue to work
  • Analytics data is preserved and still visible to the team
  • The member loses all access to the workspace immediately

This means you never lose campaign assets when someone leaves the team.

FAQ

Can I change a member’s role after they’ve joined?

Yes. Go to Settings → Team, click the member’s name, and select a new role from the dropdown. The change takes effect immediately.

What happens if I downgrade from Business to Pro?

Your existing team members will lose workspace access. Only the workspace owner retains access on Pro and Free plans. Export any shared assets before downgrading.

Can a member be part of multiple workspaces?

Yes. A single Brevr account can be a member of multiple workspaces under different owners. Each workspace is independent.

Do invitees need a Brevr account to join?

No. If they don’t have one, they’ll create a free Brevr account as part of accepting the invitation. Their account is separate from your workspace billing.

Walk through every step below with the screenshots to follow along at your own pace.

Step 1: Open Team Settings

Navigate to Settings → Team from your workspace sidebar. This is where all team member management lives — you can see current members, their roles, and pending invitations from this single page.

📸 Screenshot: The Team settings page open in the sidebar, showing the current members list with their assigned roles (Admin, Editor, or Viewer) and an “Invite Member” button in the top-right corner.

Step 2: Open the Invite Member Dialog

Click the Invite Member button. A dialog slides open with two fields: an email input and a role selector. You must fill in both before sending.

📸 Screenshot: The Invite Member dialog open over the Team settings page, with the email address field focused and the role dropdown (showing Admin, Editor, Viewer options) visible below it.

Step 3: Enter Email and Choose a Role

Type the invitee’s email address into the field, then open the role dropdown and select the appropriate role — Admin for full access, Editor for link management, or Viewer for read-only access. Click Send Invitation.

Step 4: Confirm the Invitation Was Sent

After sending, the dialog closes and the invitee appears in the members list with a Pending badge next to their name. The badge clears once they accept the invitation.

Step 5: Open a Member’s Profile to Change Role or Remove

Click any member’s name or email to open their profile panel on the right. From here you can change their role using the dropdown or click Remove to revoke their access immediately.

📸 Screenshot: A member’s profile panel open on the right side of the screen, showing their name, email, current role dropdown, and the Remove button highlighted in red at the bottom.

Step 6: Confirm Member Removal

After clicking Remove, a confirmation dialog appears. Confirm the action to instantly revoke that member’s workspace access. Their links and QR codes remain in the workspace — nothing is deleted.
