Getting Started with Brevr

Getting started with Brevr takes less than 10 minutes. This guide walks you through creating your account, making your first short link, reading your analytics, and setting up your workspace for your team.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to create a Brevr account (no credit card on Free)
  • How to create and share your first short link
  • Where to find clicks, countries, devices, and referrers
  • How to set up your workspace with a team and custom domain

How Brevr Works

Brevr is a link management platform. You paste a long URL, Brevr shortens it, and every click is tracked automatically. You can add custom domains, build QR codes from any link, and route visitors to different pages based on their country or device.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Go to brevr.one/register to open the sign-up page. Choose Google sign-in for one click, or enter your email and a password. Confirm your email if prompted — you’ll get a verification link within a minute. No credit card is required on the Free plan.

  1. Click the Create Link button in your dashboard header.
  2. Paste your long destination URL into the URL field.
  3. Enter a custom alias if you want a branded path — for example, brevr.one/my-campaign. Leave it blank to get an auto-generated code.
  4. Click Create — your short link is live and ready to share immediately.

What Each Dashboard Section Does

Once your link is created, you’ll see the full dashboard. Here’s what each section contains.

SectionWhat It Shows
LinksAll your short links and their click counts
QR CodesAll your QR codes
AnalyticsAggregate performance across all links
DomainsYour custom domains
SettingsAccount, team, billing, API keys

Step 3: View Your Analytics

Click any link in your dashboard to open its detail page. You’ll see click volume over time, top countries and cities, referral sources, and device and browser breakdown. Analytics update in near real-time — clicks you generate right now will appear within seconds.

Brevr automatically filters known bots on paid plans. This keeps your click counts accurate and your data useful for reporting.

Step 4: Set Up Your Workspace

This step is optional but recommended if you’re working with a team or using Brevr professionally.

  • Invite team members — Go to Settings → Team, click Invite Member, enter their email, and choose a role: Admin, Editor, or Viewer.
  • Add a custom domain — Go to Domains, click Add Domain, and follow the DNS setup steps. Your links will use your own branded domain instead of brevr.one.
  • Connect integrations — Go to Settings → Integrations to add API keys, configure webhooks, or install tracking pixels.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a credit card required to start?

No. The Free plan requires no credit card. You can create an account and start making short links immediately. A card is only needed when you upgrade to a paid plan.

Bulk import is not available in the dashboard yet. If you have a large set of links to migrate from another platform, contact our support team and we’ll help you get them imported.

Instantly. As soon as you click Create, your short link is live and will redirect correctly. There is no propagation delay for links hosted on brevr.one. Custom domain links are live immediately after domain verification completes.

You won’t be able to create new links until the next billing period resets your count, or until you upgrade to a plan with a higher limit. Your existing links continue to work and redirect normally — exceeding the limit only blocks new link creation, not your existing ones.
