How to Downgrade Your Plan
Your current plan stays active through the end of the billing period. On the next renewal date, your account switches to the lower plan and your limits adjust accordingly.
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Change Plan
- Select a lower tier
- Confirm the change
You will not lose access to current plan features until the billing period ends.
How to Cancel Your Subscription
Canceling keeps your paid plan active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted.
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm the cancellation
Your links, QR codes, and analytics are preserved after cancellation. Free plan limits and data retention rules apply from the reversion date onward.
What Happens to Your Data if You Downgrade
Brevr does not delete your links or QR codes when you downgrade. Here is what does change:
- Analytics history beyond your new plan’s retention window becomes inaccessible. Example: downgrading from Business (5 years) to Pro (3 years) hides analytics older than 3 years. The data is not deleted — it becomes inaccessible at that tier.
- Custom domains over your new plan’s limit are not removed. Existing links on those domains continue to work. You cannot add new links to the excess domains until you reduce your domain count or upgrade.
- Team members over the new plan’s limit retain access until you manually remove them.
Invoices
Every charge generates a PDF invoice downloadable from your billing page.
- Go to Settings → Billing → Invoice History
- Find the invoice by date
- Click to download the PDF
Invoices include your plan name, billing period, amount charged, and the last four digits of the card used.
Payment Methods
Brevr accepts all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Brevr does not store your card details — all payment data is handled directly by Stripe’s secure infrastructure. To update your payment method, go to Settings → Billing → Payment Method.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
There is no free trial. Start with the Free plan to explore Brevr at no cost, then upgrade to Pro or Business when you need higher limits or longer data retention. You can upgrade at any time from Settings → Billing.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. Contact support to switch your billing frequency. Switching to annual billing applies the discounted rate at your next renewal date.
What payment methods does Brevr accept?
Brevr accepts all major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover — processed securely through Stripe. Other payment methods such as wire transfer or purchase orders are available for Enterprise plans.
Do unused links or QR codes roll over to next month?
No. Monthly limits reset on the first day of each billing month. Unused link or QR code capacity from the previous month does not carry over.
Can I get a refund?
Contact support within 30 days of a charge to request a refund. Refund eligibility is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Partial refunds may apply if you are downgrading mid-cycle.
